Our bodies store a lot of our history. It's where a lot of our habits, responses, and fears find a place. These habits can be quite innocent at first, but on the long term can create a lot of pain in the body and can make us feel stuck in our lives. If you tense the neck for a year, you'll be ok. If you do it for ten years you will most probably develop severe injury. We are all unique in the way we deal with situations, but we are all the same in the fact that the way we do is reflected in our bodies.
